Target Audience, Part 1: Demographics and Psychographics
How much do you know about the target audience for your new consulting or professional services business? The more you understand your potential clients, the more likely you will be able to reach the right people with the right service offerings and messaging and thereby generate leads to fuel your new venture. When evaluating your target audience, consider the two primary realms of demographics and psychographics. While demographics and psychographics may apply differently in B2B vs. B2C contexts, it’s critical to remember that in either case, you need to reach and resonate with individual people who want to make good decisions about the service that they’re investing time and money in.
